From Local Snapshots to a Global Picture

We study conditions under which certain types of cheap and simple microrobots with limited sensing abilities can infer a global view of their environment from a series of local observations. We show examples for sensing equipment that is sufficient for certain tasks at hand when the robots move inside a polygon in the plane.
