End-to-End Learning for Constrained Optimization

James Kotary
University of Virginia

Learning to Optimize is an emerging field of research that aims at using machine learning to assist in the solution of constrained optimization problems. This talk will introduce two main branches within this area: learning to accelerate the solution of optimization problems, and learning to identify their parameters under uncertain conditions. Then, it will discuss several novel developments in this area with applications to planning and scheduling, web search, and optimal control.
