Title: Portable Routines for Integrated nucleoSynthesis Modeling (PRISM): a flexible nuclear reaction network for astrophysical applications
Abstract: We present a new nuclear reaction network, PRISM, for use in astrophysical nucleosynthesis simulations. We identify our major motivations for creating PRISM and comment on details regarding its implementation in Fortran code. Finally, we summarize the specific role PRISM has played in a number of recent works, which have focused on understanding the complex relationship between theoretical nuclear models and astrophysical r-process nucleosynthesis.

Title: VPIC simulations of Astrophysical Outflows and Hall Thrusters
Abstract: The goal of this research was to simulate the plasma flow in a section of the inner channel of a Hall-Effect thruster (HET) using Los Alamos National Labs’ (LANL) Vector Particle-in-cell (VPIC) codes and to explore the effect varying ion-to-electron mass ratios have on the plasma physics therein. The plasma effects as it relates to electron/ion density, and electric and magnetic fields in the channel were monitored as the mass ratio got closer to the realistic value.
