The emergence of conformal symmetry during phase transitions significantly constrains the values of critical exponents. The "conformal bootstrap" is a recent research program aimed at fully exploring the consequences of conformal symmetry on correlation functions, with the goal of understanding the space of possible conformal field theories. A key step in this analysis is numerical optimization in the form of linear and semidefinite programs. After introducing this bootstrap program, I will apply these techniques to study the Ising model in 1 Host: Andrey Lokhov |
