Modeling of energy and charge transfer in molecular systems

Andriy Zhugayevych
Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology

Energy and charge transfer are among key functional processes in electronic devices and devices for energy generation, conversion, storage. I will review current state of the art in first principle modeling of exciton and charge carrier transport in molecular systems such as organic semiconductors. Some fundamental problems to be discussed are hopping versus bandlike motion of charge carriers, dynamic and static localization, coherences and correlations in energy and charge transfer.
