This talk provides an overview sample of the research activities ongoing at Los Alamos National Laboratory in High Energy Density Plasma Physics. This research involves diverse scientific topics, from relativistic laser-plasmas, to material dynamics. Similarly, it benefits and is sponsored by several programs. The research is a joint enterprise between experimentalists, theoreticians, computer modelers and material scientists, among others. It involves many experimental facilities, large and small, as well as massively-parallel, supercomputer-based modeling. Host: Tom Intrator, P-24, intrator@lanl.gov, 665-2927 |
