This talk reviews some recent trends in combinatorial optimization. It starts by reviewing constraint and mathematical programming and discusses how to hybridize these technologies. The talk then reviews a variety of other hybrid optimization developments, including large neighborhood search, complex variables, and Benders decomposition. The various techniques will be illustrated on many problems in disaster management and infrastructure security. Host: Russell Bent, Energy and Infrastructure Analysis D-4/Decision Applications |
