The numerical structure of cell-centered Lagrangian schemes

B. Despres
Jacques-Louis Lions Laboratory

Cell-centered for Lagrangian discretization of compressible flows have received new interest these last years. In this presentation I will focus on the mathematical structure of such methods, putting the emphasis on the Glace scheme. It will be shown that the notion of a Volume as a function of the vertices, well known in the meshing community, is the only notion needed to derive the scheme. This property will be illustrated with innovative exceptional point techniques [1], where the exceptional points can be located for example at the middle of an arc of a circle.
