Physics and Other Amiable Things of Life

Darryl Smith

Scientists, A couple of months ago I approached Darryl Smith during his retirement party to steal from him a few tips and pointers on doing successful research and having a career in Science: I have always found this kind of conversations with successful and accomplished scientists to be most fruitful, despite (or perhaps because) the variegate spectrum of styles and personalities among them. I soon realized that many could benefit from a similar chat with Darryl. I therefore proposed to him that I would organize a sort of Q&A session at CNLS, with junior (and non junior) scientists in the audience. I am happy to say that he agreed to it. I trust many of you will want to benefit from Darryl's insight. Cristiano
