Streaming Poisson Data

This talk describes the use of minimum distance estimation to address problems modeling streaming data. Streaming data are often characterized by their unwieldiness with respect to size and messiness. The robustness of minimum distance estimators can be used to advantage in this setting. Semiparametric modeling of the underlying intensity function is described.
