A Logical Model of Intelligence

NARS (Non-Axiomatic Reasoning System) is an attempt to capture the essence of intelligence in the framework of a reasoning system. In this research, "intelligence" is understood as the ability for a system to adapt to its environment while working with insufficient knowledge and resources. Accordingly, NARS is designed very differently from conventional reasoning systems, in its representation language, inference rules, semantics, memory structure, and control mechanism. The system provides a unified model for multiple types of inference, as well as integrates reasoning with learning and many other cognitive functions.
