Reduced mesh representations in MSTK

MSTK is a mesh framework that allows users to represent, manipulate and query unstructured 3D arbitrary topology meshes in a general manner without the need to code their own data structures. MSTK allows a variety of underlying representations for the mesh while maintaining a common interface. We added a new representation with reduced memory costs. It was done by avoiding explicitly representing some of the mesh entities, and generating them "on-the-fly" while keeping the application interface unchanged. We will talk about the methods used in managing a reduced representation and discuss the pros and cons of using reduced mesh representations in MSTK.
