Visiting the Condensed Matter and Thermal Physics Group

Visitors to MST-10 and Los Alamos National Laboratory are required to have a sponsor and to fill out certain paperwork required by the US Department of Energy. Visitors from foreign countries and especially from DOE-designated "Sensitive Countries" are required to submit paperwork far in advance of their visit. For details, contact your host or the MST-10 Group Office. Non US citizens are strictly prohibited from entering LANL property without proper paperwork in place.

Los Alamos National Laboratory is accessible by car from airports in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. The usual means of transportation is by rental car (Budget Rental Car has special rates for travel to/from Los Alamos). Directions to the Laboratory from the Albuquerque Airport and information about lodging in Northern New Mexico (Los Alamos and Santa Fe) can be found on the Laboratory's external Web site at http://www.lanl.gov/worldview/welcome/visitor.shtml.

The Condensed Matter and Thermal Physics Building is part of the Materials Science Complex and can be reached either from the Los Alamos townsite or along East Jemez Road. From East Jemez Road, proceed to the stop light at Diamond Drive. Turn left onto Diamond Drive and continue to the next stop light at Eniwetok. Turn left and immediately turn right into the parking lot. Park in an available space and proceed to the MST-10 Group Office at the west end of the Parking Lot. No parking permit is required. From the Los Alamos townsite, go across the bridge on Diamond Drive, continue past the stop light intersecting East Jemez Road and follow directions above.
