On Campus - $500 plus lodging (see chart below for lodging rates)
Off Campus -$700
LANL Only -$100/day or $300 for all 4 days.

Voluntary Alcohol Fee: $30 per person (includes all 4 nights)

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made after 7/1/08 will be charged $400.

Fees may also be mailed in advance or collected at the door.

Registrations are not guaranteed until payment is received. Registration fees paid after June 2nd are considered late.

Travel Awards:
A limited number of travel awards may be available to help junior researchers attend the conference. A request for financial support, which should include an abstract and CV, may be made here.

Meals:
The registration fee includes opening and closing banquets. Refreshments will be served at breaks, and drinks and hors' dourves will be served during the two evening poster sessions. A cafeteria will be open for breakfast and lunch at the conference site. Downtown restaurants are easily accessible by city bus.

Attendees staying on campus will have breakfast and lunch provided at the college cafeteria as part of the lodging fee.

Off-site attendees will be provided lunch at the college cafeteria as part of the registration fee.

On-Site Lodging:
Affordable and comfortable lodging at the conference site is available for all attendees in the student dormitories of St. John's College. You are strongly encouraged to stay on campus - those staying on campus will receive free breakfasts and lunch.

Accommodations have semi-private bedrooms (details below). Please contact us (email) as soon as possible if you have any special needs. Smoking indoors is not allowed on campus. The cost of on-campus lodging is fixed (details below) regardless of the duration of your stay. The earliest check-in time is Noon on Wednesday, August 6, and the latest check-out date is Sunday, August 10th.

On-site Accommodation Options and Costs:
(Prices are a total per person for the whole conference, not daily)

Single
$200

1-room dorm appx. 8x12 feet in size. Single bed, desk, closet. Appx. 10 people per shared bathroom. Linoluem floor.

Double
$200

2-person, 2-room dorm. Each person has a seperate sleeping room joined by a door. One of the sleeping rooms has the entrance/exit to the hallway. Semi-private. Appx 10 people per bathroom. Great for colleagues on a budget. Linoleum floor.

Suite
$400
Typical 5 bedroom apartment instead of a dorm. 5 seperate sleeping rooms (8x12 feet in size with a bed, closet, and desk) with a furnished living room and double-sink bathroom for each suite. Great for increased interaction with speakers and participants. Carpeted. 5 guests per suite.
Apartment
$600
Typical 2 bedroom apartment with a furnished living room, kitchen, and bathroom. Great for seclusion and privacy. Carpeted. 2 guests per apartment.
Family Apartment
$900
Same as above, but for a single conference attendee with family.

Off-Site Lodging:
Vacant hotel rooms can be difficult to find in August. The closest hotels are 2 miles away and start at $150 per night after taxes. The least expensive 1-star hotel online in Santa Fe is Motel 6 (5 miles away) at $75 per night. Attendees who stay off campus will not have breakfast provided in the college cafeteria as this part of the lodging fee.

Orbitz will list hotels by distance from St. Johns.

Another interesting local option about 3 miles away is The Chapelle Street Casitas which has small studios for 1-2 people or small houses for up to 4 people. They are less expensive than the hotels.
