The major airport for travelers coming to Los Alamos is Albuquerque International Airport, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, about 100 miles south of Los Alamos (1.5 - 2hrs drive). Albuquerque Airport (ABQ) has car rental facilities. See the Support page for more info on car rental.

If driving from Albuquerque, take I-25 North, to Santa Fe. You need to get on US 284/285. To do that you can use the Santa Fe Bypass (NM 599) which bypasses Santa Fe, or get off I-25 into Santa Fe and follow St. Francis Drive which becomes US 284/285. In Pojoaque take NM 502 towards Los Alamos town site. After passing on the right the local airport, the road comes to a Y intersection splitting into Trinity Dr (on the left) and Canon Rd. on the right. The conference hotel is right at the Y intersection.

You will need to make reservations ahead of time for shuttle service. However, they provide service mostly between Albuquerque and Santa Fe. On occasion they might extend their service to Los Alamos, please check with them ahead of time and request a ride to Los Alamos.
