The Center for Nonlinear Studies at Los Alamos National Laboratory is pleased
to host conference "Excited State Processes in Electronic and Bio NanoMaterials" to be held October 1-4, 2007. The
meeting is organized by Sergei Tretiak serg@lanl.gov
, Avadh Saxena abs@lanl.gov , and
Richard L. Martin rlmartin@lanl.gov.
Adam Shipman ashipman@lanl.gov is the
conference coordinator.
LOCATION
The meeting will be held in the Lodge at
Santa Fe (http://hhandr.com/san_main.php), located near the center of Santa Fe, NM. A block of
rooms has been reserved for conference participants.
NON-U.S. CITIZENS
Visits for non-U.S. citizens (including
permanent residents) to Los Alamos National Laboratory will be processed for
approval prior to the workshop. All non-U.S. citizens who visit the Laboratory
will be issued an identification badge which should be worn at all times while
on Laboratory property. You will need a passport (mandatory) and other picture
identification (e.g. driver's license) to get a badge issued.
REGISTRATION
Registration is required for this event. Registration fees should be paid at the door by check, Visa or Mastercard, LANL cost codes, or cash. Checks for registration fees must be made out to Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Registration Fees:
Non-LANL Attendees - $100 (Includes all 4 days and the dinner banquet)
LANL Attendees - $30 per day (Includes coffee breaks, but not meals)
Additional Payment Information:
Additional Banquet tickets for companions or LANL attendees are available for $30 each.
Attendees who stay at the hotel will be provided breakfast and lunch each day of the conference at no additional cost.
Due to regulations, there will be a cash bar at the banquet and poster session. Alcohol is not included in the registration cost.
The preferred method of paying registration fees is to pay at the door upon your arrival. Checks for registration fees must be made out to Los Alamos National Laboratory.
DURATION OF TALKS
Invited talks are 40 minutes + 5 minutes for
questions. Contributed talks are 17 minutes + 3 minutes for questions.
Both standard overhead projector and LCD
projector (for power point presentations) will be provided. Please notify ahead
your session chair if you are planning computer presentation for your lecture.

WEATHER
Santa Fe is famous for its mild temperatures. However,
be prepared for just about anything! The city is located at an altitude of
almost 7000 feet.
