STUDENTS AS AGENTS OF CHANGE: DEVELOPING MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATIONS ON SOCIETAL ISSUES
EMPOWERING STUDENTS TO UNDERSTAND AND CHANGE SOCIETAL CONDITIONS
UPDATED: 4 JAN, 2003
Students are made aware of societal issues through a program of discovery, research and
self-learning. This motivational approach captures the interest of students through the
use of computers and multimedia. The students conceptulize and develop the presentations
of their choice including their thoughts, observations, data, ideas, and favorite music. By
designing presentations that are aimed at understanding the issues and how change can
be brought about, they become empowered to make the changes in their lives and help others.
The presentations students produce are also being used to educate others less fortunate.
