High resolution vorticity field obtained from particle tracking velocimetry
Folding and strectching dynamics of 2D turbulence imaged by thickness fringes for a standing horizontal soap film driven by a combination of magnetic fields and current in the film.
Time dynamics of vorticity field of a thin salt layer driven electromagnetically. Regions of concentrated vorticity, i.e. coherent structure regions, are indicated as black ovular contours.
