Important recent progress in our understanding of size-dependent and time-dependent electronic interactions in electronic nanomaterials and biological complexes leads to a variety of novel applications in medicine and industry.
This interdisciplinary workshop will provide an open forum for active interaction between experiment and theory from different subfields addressing excited state electronic processes in various materials.

Key Topics:

 I. Excited State Potentials and Ultrafast Processes in Organic Materials;
 II. Electronic Interactions in Semiconductor Quantum Dots;
 III. Carrier Transport in Biological and Molecular Aggregates.

Registration fee for the conference is $150 (waived for invited speakers, students and postdocs).
The deadline for submission of contributed paper abstracts is July 1, 2001.

PLEASE NOTE: Foreign Nationals (i.e. not US  citizens) have restricted access to Los Alamos National Laboratory and require
pre-approval by the LANL security office for their visits. Depending on the country of residence or birth, such pre-approval can take us as much as 6 weeks to process. If you are a foreign national planning on visiting LANL lease contact Christella Salazar <christie@cnls.lanl.gov> at your earliest convenience so that we can initiate this paperwork.
