Eduardo's tips on Boston's hidden jewels
  1. Sites to visit

Boston is both a modern city but also a place filled with history. Additionally,
it is a great walking city. Try it! Here are some ideas on what to do.

    1. Visit the neighborhoods.
      1. North End, Faneuil Hall, and Quincy Market.
      2. Copley Square, Newbury Street, Prudential Center (have a drink at the Top of the Hub), and the South End.
      3. Visit the Boston Common and the Public Garden.
      4. Walk along the Charles River.
      5. Brookline and Coolidge Corner.
      6. Cambridge and Harvard Square (check out the Wikipedia article too).
    2. Go to the Museums
      1. Museum of Fine Arts
      2. Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
      3. Museum of Science
      4. New England Aquarium
      5. JFK Presidential Library
    3. Events, Music, Sports, and things to do.
A little trick. If you cannot get tickets from the teams, check out Ace Tickets.
      1. Red Sox, Celtics, Patriots, Bruins, Revolution.
      2. College Sports: Boston College, Boston University, Harvard, MIT, Northeastern.
If in Boston in February, get tickets to the Beanpot Hockey Tournament.
It doesn't even matter if you like Hockey.
      3. Harvard Square street performances when it is warm (Boston warm!).
      4. Theater District, Middle East, Lansdown Street
      5. Boston Marathon in mid-April (this is part of Patriot's Day).
      6. Take a Harbor Cruise
      7. Fourth of July celebration
  2. Places to eat

The first four places are so simple and cheap, they don't even have their own web sites.
But you can judge by the Boston Globle opinions. The other two are also well priced, just not
    dirt cheap.

    1. Anna's Taqueria
Go to the one on Beacon St. The others are also good, but somehow this one is better.
    2. Rod Dee
This one is 100 ft. from the Anna's Taqueria above. Delicious Thai food
in the place you least expected.
    3. The Pour House
Cheat everything, and some days even cheaper (2-for-1 prices). The food is decent, but the
shakes (fraps in Boston) are great. Also has a cool atmosphere, with a lively bar and
      great location.
    4. Santarpios
Be prepared to be abused. But the pizza is absolutely worth it.
    5. Zaftigs
Quite a jewel. Have breakfast all day that is different and exceptional.
    6. LA Burdick's(hit the Cambridge site)
The best hot chocolate in town. On Brattle Street, at the edge of Harvard Square.

If you are visiting through the weekend, watch the Phantom Gourmet on UPN (Channel 38) every
Saturday and Sunday from 11AM to 12M. Some great restaurants are always featured.
