SCOPE:
This workshop will bring together Physicists, Mathematicians, Materials Scientists, and Engineers to discuss the latest developments and results in the dynamics and statics of granular media and multiphase particulate systems, with a focus on kinetics, flow, and constitutive relations. The workshop has two goals. The first is to help to cement a collaborative network between DOE labs, universities, and industrial research groups in granular materials, while the second is to develop a skeletal roadmap for granular research over the next few years. The list of participants includes researchers from the Department of Energy National Laboratories, industry, universities, and representatives of funding agents.
