This workshop brings together the vast variety of world class researchers working on different aspects of the phenomenon of growing interfaces. This phenomenon started to attract the community's attention in the last quarter of the 20th century, and in particular during the last several years. It turns out that it involves such diverse areas as hydrodynamics, Riemannian geometry, the theory of integrable systems, matrix models, quantum gravity and others. Researchers from applied physicists to pure mathematicians are working in this area. This workshop is expected to play a tremendous role in facilitating the exchange of ideas between these diverse groups of researchers.
