JUNE 9-11, 2003 J. Robert Oppenheimer Study Center |
|||||||
June, 2003 marks the 50th anniversary of the Metropolis, Rosenbluth, Rosenbluth, Teller, and Teller publication of what is now called the Metropolis algorithm. This algorithm made the Monte Carlo method a general purpose fixture for studying the properties of physical systems and sparked the development of other Monte Carlo algorithms. ![]()
